Dr. Jiwu Chen attends and moderates sessions at the international Olympic-style sports medicine congress
Dr. Jiwu Chen attended the 2025 ISAKOS Congress in Munich, moderated two shoulder education sessions, and delivered related lectures on the international sports medicine stage.
From June 8 to 11, 2025, the biennial ISAKOS Congress, often regarded as an Olympic-style gathering in international sports medicine, opened in Munich, Germany. Approximately 5,000 sports medicine professionals from around the world attended the congress. Around 10 sports medicine specialists from mainland China participated in this year’s meeting.
The congress provided an authoritative global platform for orthopaedic and sports medicine experts to discuss the latest technologies and clinical research in arthroscopy, knee surgery, and sports medicine.
The program covered a broad range of frontier clinical research, including more than 2,300 submitted abstracts. Topics spanned arthroscopy, knee replacement and reconstruction, including anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, foot and ankle, hip, and biologic therapies.
The four-day meeting included live and dynamic surgical demonstrations, panel discussions, case-based presentations, and vigorous debates on current controversies in orthopaedics.
At this congress, Dr. Jiwu Chen moderated two educational courses on shoulder injuries and delivered related lectures, presenting the expertise of Chinese sports medicine specialists on the international stage.
As a Chinese expert who has long been active in international sports medicine exchange, Dr. Chen brought clinical experience in complex shoulder, hip, and knee sports injuries to the global meeting and further strengthened academic interaction between Chinese sports medicine and international colleagues.
