Calcific rotator cuff tendinopathy
Do larger rotator cuff calcium deposits always cause more pain?
Author: Dr. Jiwu Chen
Doctor’s answer
No. Size and symptoms do not consistently match, and resorption can be painful. Asymptomatic deposits usually need no treatment. Symptoms, motion and examination should guide care rather than deposit size alone.
