Spondylolysis
Does every adolescent with spondylolysis need a brace?
Author: Dr. Jiwu Chen
Doctor’s answer
No. Initial care commonly reduces painful extension and rotation and introduces supervised rehabilitation. Bracing depends on symptoms, lesion stage and response; imaging alone should not dictate its duration.
