Tarsal tunnel syndrome
Does normal nerve conduction completely exclude tarsal tunnel syndrome?
Author: Dr. Jiwu Chen
Doctor’s answer
No. Symptoms, medial ankle examination and alternative nerve or spinal causes must be considered. Ultrasound or MRI may help identify compression. A single test cannot establish or exclude every case.
