Anterior knee pain treatment
Can orthoses or taping help patellofemoral pain?
Author: Dr. Jiwu Chen
Doctor’s answer
They can help some patients, especially when foot-ankle alignment, patellar tracking, or movement-control problems are present. Orthoses, taping, and manual therapy are usually best combined with hip and knee strengthening. Passive treatments alone have limited effect.
